McCaulay’s Virginia Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam Sample Exams and Study Guide for the State Portion will help real estate professionals pass the state portion of the Virginia Real Estate Salesperson licensing exam. The book contains six practice exams and a study guide. The sample questions are the type that are most likely to appear on the test. The questions are straightforward multiple choice questions with four choices and one best answer.

Part I of this book contains the sample exams with a total of 240 questions, the equivalent of six complete 40-question exams. Each 40-question practice test is followed by the answer key. After the answer key, the practice exam is displayed with the answers shown. The questions by topic are in the same proportion as the topic weightings on the state portion of the exam.

Part II of this book has a study guide. There is a section for each topic covered on the state portion of the exam, including Licensing, Escrow Accounts, Disclosure Requirements, Agency Definitions and Relationships, Virginia Fair Housing Law and Regulations, and Specific Acts Related to Real Estate Practice.

I needed to get licensed in VA quickly when the opportunity for a big transaction popped up. I was extremely dismayed to find that the only study materials provided by the virginia real estate board were links to PDF copies of the actual virginia real estate laws and codes, and a short list of general topics to look out for within that. To sift through that and make a study guide of what would actually be on the test would have taken me too long.

This book gave me exactly what I was looking for...a study guide, and a bunch of sample exams to take and then check myself with. Made it exceptionally easy to study. And honestly, I keep it handy on my phone to look up those weird arbitrary numbers that pop up from time to time (how many miles does a military person have to be ordered to move before they can terminate their lease early without penalty again?)

THIS was the book/study guide that got me through the VA State Exam. I failed the VA exam the first time, read this book and did the practice tests and flew through the test passing it 10 minutes the second time. Excellent book to help you pass!
Can’t say enough about this book. Exactly what you need if you are taking the Virginia real estate exam I passed no problem after only studying a hand full of times. The questions are almost exact to the real thing.
I don't know whether to consider the answer key (the one page key) to be correct or the more elaborate answer key (about (3 pages) to be correct as I check my answers. I don't trust it. Plus it is copyrighted as of 2014 - be careful.
I passed VA real estate saleserson exam. Thanks to this book. What a summary and loved all questions. Questions were almost same in exam and it helped eliminating the burden to read that 400 page book. I did real 400 page book (from a PSI affiliated school) but reading was so cumbersome and there was no end to how much I would read. Came across this on in hopes of getting a good summary book. The practice questions in this book absolutely similar to what is being asked in test. It was a breeze to read this book and piece of cake to pass the exam after going thru this. This was my bible. )
